چکیده
We measure the harmonic-space auto-power spectrum of galaxy overdensity in LOFAR Two-metre Sky Survey (LoTSS) First Data Release and its cross correlation with map lensing convergence cosmic microwave background (CMB) from Planck collaboration. report a $\sim5\sigma$ detection cross-correlation. show that combination clustering power CMB cross-correlation allows us to place constraints on high-redshift tail redshift distribution, one largest sources uncertainty use continuum surveys for cosmology. Our analysis shows preference broader than predicted by photometric redshifts contained LoTSS value added catalog, as expected, more compatible predictions simulations spectroscopic data. Although ability constrain width distribution could also be valuable current future weak surveys, we performance relies strongly evolution bias. Assuming Square Kilometre Array Design simulations, our measurements linear bias radio galaxies amplitude matter inhomogeneities $\sigma_8$, finding $\sigma_8=0.69^{+0.14}_{-0.21}$ assuming scales inverse growth factor, $\sigma_8=0.79^{+0.17}_{-0.32}$ constant

Gravitational lensing in galaxy redshift surveys
Gravitationally-lensed quasars are both valuable (individually and statistically) and rare. They are mostly discovered through time-consuming re-imaging of known quasars, but can also be found spectroscopically in galaxy redshift surveys. Q 2237+0305 (Huchra et al. 1985) was found in this manner, but remains the only such discovery. Kochanek (1992) predicted that ∼ 1 in 10 redshifts would yield...
متن کاملThe Atacama Cosmology Telescope: measuring radio galaxy bias through cross-correlation with lensing
We correlate the positions of radio galaxies in the FIRST survey with the cosmic microwave background lensing convergence estimated from the Atacama Cosmology Telescope over 470 deg2 to determine the bias of these galaxies. We remove optically cross-matched sources below redshift z = 0.2 to preferentially select active galactic nuclei (AGN). We measure the angular cross-power spectrumC l at 4.4...
متن کاملCosmology with Redshift Surveys of Radio Sources
We use the K − z relation for radio galaxies to illustrate why it has proved difficult to obtain definitive cosmological results from studies based entirely on catalogues of the brightest radio sources, e.g. 3C. To improve on this situation we have been undertaking redshift surveys of complete samples drawn from the fainter 6C and 7C radio catalogues. We describe these surveys, and illustrate t...
متن کاملOn Cross-correlating Weak Lensing Surveys
ABSTRACT The present generation of weak lensing surveys will be superseded by surveys run from space with much better sky coverage and high level of signal to noise ratio, such as SNAP. However, removal of any systematics or noise will remain a major cause of concern for any weak lensing survey. One of the best ways of spotting any undetected source of systematic noise is to compare surveys whi...
متن کاملConstraining Cosmology with High Convergence Regions in Weak Lensing Surveys
We propose to use a simple observable, the fractional area of “hot spots” in weak gravitational lensing mass maps which are detected with high significance, to determine background cosmological parameters. Because these high-convergence regions are directly related to the physical nonlinear structures of the universe, they derive cosmological information mainly from the nonlinear regime of dens...
